CASTALIA - Funeral services for Toney Ray Thorne, 51, who died Friday, June 29, 2012, were held Tuesday, July 3, at Lifeline Outreach Ministries Church, with the Rev. Barbara Jean Thomas officiating. Burial followed in the Thorne family cemetery.

Surviving: father, Earlie Ray Thorne of Castalia; sisters, Alice T. Horne of Norlina, Leslie Mae Rogers of Spring Hope and Gloria Jean Yarborough of Louisburg; brother, Dan Jeffrey Thorne of the home.
