FRANKLINTON—Nancy Lee Evans Stephens, 82, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012 at the Carolina House in Wake Forest. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

She was born in Anderson, Ind., the daughter of the late Wilmuth Corrine Thomas Evans and Ira Fay Evans and was a member of Franklinton Baptist Church.

Surviving: daughters, Nancy Fay Kasner (Curt) of San Angelo, Tex., and Cindy Stephens of Seattle, Wash.; sons, Joseph Robert Stephens (Barbara) of Franklinton and Michael Ray Stephens (Diane) of Longwood Fla.; brothers, Ken Evans (Linda) of Franklin, NC and Mac Evans (Hilda) of Evans, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ray Stephens, Master Sergeant, US Air Force.
