RALEIGH - Patrick Joseph Catena, 85, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at his home. A funeral mass was held Friday, Sept. 21, at St. Raphael’s Church in Raleigh.

He was born in Newark, N.J., to Frank and Mary Libertell Catena. He worked for ITT Corporation for 23 years in various locations in New Jersey and in Raleigh.

After retiring from ITT, he worked at Walter Kidde in Wilson and for Saturn Cars of Raleigh.

Surviving: wife Mary of Raleigh; children, Frank (Joan) Catena of Raleigh and Patricia (Brian) Loy of Louisburg; sister, Ann Catena of Bloomfield, N.J., as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
