FRANKLINTON - Edward Dean “Eddie” Wilkerson, 51, of Franklinton passed away September 18 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jeanne Dickson of Louisburg, and a niece, April Marie Young of Apex.

Eddie is survived by his father, Edward Marvin Wilkerson of Durham; his wife, Betty Hood Wilkerson, and daughter, Memorie Leigh Wilkerson, both of Franklinton; a stepson, Bryan Lee Rogers; and stepdaughter, Elizabeth Jerol Rogers; four grandchildren, Jordan, Austin, Devin and Caden.

He also leaves behind 3 brothers, Tony, David, and Timmy; 2 sisters, Sandra and Judy; 4 nieces and 4 nephews.

A memorial service was held at his home on September 22 in celebration of his life.

He will forever be loved and greatly missed.
