YOUNGSVILLE - Selby Donald Oakley, 74, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006 at his home. Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 1, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Haley officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Henry Willard Oakley and Bessie Rogers Oakley. Mr. Oakley was a retired office supply salesman and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by a sister, Miriam Oakley Hart.

Surviving: his wife, Nancy Frazier Oakley; daughter, Cindy Reavis (Tal) of Youngsville; a son, Truby Oakley (Cathy) of Youngsville; five grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
