YOUNGSVILLE - Ella Rue Alford Price, 90, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012 at her residence. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Faile officiating. Burial followed in Raleigh Memorial Park.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Ella Tharrington Alford and Ben Alford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis J. Price, and brothers, Edwin, Vernon and Graham Alford.

Surviving: daughter, Melba Price of Phoenix, Ariz.; son, Ronald “Ron” Davis Price of Raleigh; sister, Esther Jones Pearce (Maynard) of Raleigh; several nieces, and nephews.
