NONA MAE B. HYMAN


GOLDSBORO - Nona Mae Bunch Hyman, 82, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012 at the Brian Center in Goldsboro. Funeral arrangements were handled by Hamilton FC in Wilson.

Born in Wilson, she was the daughter of the late Elmer Bunch and the late Ara Anne Newsome Weeks. She was raised and educated in Wilson, later moving to Brooklyn, N.Y., where she worked at Braswell French Cleaners. After retiring, she moved to Goldsboro to help take care of her mother. She was married to the late Willis E. Hyman.

Surviving: son, Willis E. Hyman Jr. of Amityville, N.Y.; stepmother, Beatrice Bunch of Wilson; sisters, Arsie Pough of Brooklyn, N.Y., Georgia Kirby (Willie) of Roosevelt, N.Y., Cherry Coley (James) of Bailey; Ernestine Evans (James) of Louisburg, Christine Washington (Michael) of Baltimore, Md., and Janie Lewis (Arthur) of Franklin, Va.; brothers, Samuel Bunch (Mary) of Wilson and Zack Bunch of Staten Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
