LOUISBURG - Funeral services for Veronica “Sweet Thang” Wilkins, 48, who died Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Gospel Unlimited Church of Christ Disciples, with Bishop Johnny Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: husband, Silous Wilkins of the home; daughters, Alicia Lynette Wilkins of Durham, Tenisha Thomas and Jaleesa Wood, both of Louisburg, and Carolyn Wilkins of Youngsville; son, Shelton Wilkins of Louisburg; mother, Carolyn Brodie of Columbus, Ga.; father, James Cones of Louisburg; maternal grandfather, Thomas Branch of Louisburg; sister, Paulette Colon of Chicago, Ill; and eight grandchildren.
