CASTALIA - Roger Franklin Pernell, 68, died  Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012. Memorial service was held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Cornerstone Funeral Home.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Benny and Viola Pernell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Milton Scott Pernell; two brothers, Jack and Marvin Pernell.

Surviving: wife, Alice Hale Pernell; sons, Frankie Pernell (Teresa), Gregory Pernell (April); daughter, Sonya Campbell (Chris); brothers, James and Clyde Pernell, and six grandchildren.
