CHARLES T. AYSCUE


HENDERSON - Charles Thomas “Tommy” Ayscue, 89, of the Epsom Community, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 at his home. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 3, at New Bethel Baptist Church, conducted by Pastor Jim Curtis. Burial, with Military Honors, followed in the church cemetery.

Born in Vance County, he was the son of the late Perry Lee Ayscue and Mae Bartholomew Ayscue. He was the widower of Ruth Divers Ayscue and was also predeceased by a brother, Perry Wilson Ayscue. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II  and served 31 years on the Franklin County School Board at Epsom.

Surviving: daughters, Charlotte A. Peedin (Jimmy) of Raleigh; Mary A. Roberson (Dennis) of Epsom, and Brenda A. Stovall of Oxford; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
