WAKE FOREST —Mandy Davis Boyette died Tuesday, Dec 4, 2012. She had been a resident at the Carolina House for the past 11 years. Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 7, at Woodland Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was born to the late Eunice Weathers Davis and Joseph Raymond Davis. She was employed for many years in the banking industry and also served as an administrative assistant to many state legislators at the N.C. General Assembly. She was later employed by the Triangle J Council of Governments.

She was a long-time member of Woodland Baptist Church and in the 1970s, became the first ordained female deacon.

Surviving: daughters, Dawn (Steve) Formo of Halifax and Dena (Marty) Coward of Wake Forest; sons, Tim Boyette of Raleigh, Blair (Alice) Boyette of Star; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607 or to the Woodland Baptist Church Building Fund, 190 Woodland Church Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
