FRANKLINTON - Winford M. Murray, 86, died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center in Louisburg. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 13) at Union View Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. T. J. Kollar and the Rev. Ed Revelle officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Mr. Murray was retired from Murdock Center in Butner. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucy Ball Murray.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rachel Harris, and brothers, Lee Murray and Wade Murray.

Surviving; daughters, Diane Murray of the home and Portia M. (Rick) Jenkins of Franklinton; sons, Dwight (Debbie) Murray of Spartanburg, S. C., and Gary “Stump” Murray (Leslie) of Lake Gaston; sisters, Pat Tharrington and Maxine Ball, both of the Alert community; a brother, James Murray of Columbia, S. C.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
