WAKE FOREST - S. Ray Joyner, 72, died at his home on Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Dec. 19) in the Wake Forest Cemetery, with the Rev. Ron Brissom officiating.

Surviving: son, Greg Joyner of Ohio; brothers, Larry (Athalene) of Wake Forest, Lynn (Pat) of Wake Forest; sister Linda Whitley (Jerry) of Louisburg; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Tamsie Ray Joyner and Buster Joyner.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW of Wake Forest at P. O. Box 1162, Wake Forest, NC 27588 in honor of Jerry Ammons and/or New Life Church at 6900 Zebulon Road, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
