ZEBULON - Virginia Wells Parrish, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012. Funeral service was held Friday, Dec. 21, at Strickland Funeral Home in Wendell. Burial followed in the Baptist Tabernacle Church cemetery.

She was born in Wake County to the late Charlie Warren and Hellen Davis Wells. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leo Parrish Sr., and six siblings.

Surviving: children, James Leo Parrish Jr. (Bonnie) of Zebulon, Harold Parrish (Denise) of Wendell, Faye Mullen (J.T.) of Angier, and Nancy Brantley (Greg) of Middlesex; siblings, Howard Wells (Pearl) of Zebulon, Charles Wells (Jean) of South Carolina, and Grace Medlin (G.C.) of Garner; 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
