FAYETTEVILLE —John T. Davis Jr., 84, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012. He had been at the state Veteran’s Home for two years.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today (Saturday, Dec. 29) at Breezewood Church of God of Prophecy, Legion Road, Fayetteville. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Ransdell Chapel Baptist Church cemetery, Louisburg.

Surviving: wife, Kathryn Davis; son, Milton Davis of Raeford; stepdaughter, Debbie Aslett of Dayton, Nev.; stepson, Jimmy Horton of Fayetteville; sisters, Carolyn Franklin of Durham and Gladys McGhee of Raleigh; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
