ZEBULON – Jesse McCoy Taylor, 80, of the Pilot Community, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 16) in the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel, 211 W. Third St., Wendell, with visitation 12:30 - 1:45 p.m., prior to the service.  Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

A native of Franklin County, he was son of the late Ervin & Sally Pearce Taylor.  He was a retired truck driver. 

Surviving wife of 61 years, Janet Pippin Taylor; children, Ricky Taylor, Jan Taylor, both of Raleigh; siblings, Mack Taylor (Selma) of Selma, Edward Taylor of Wendell, Dwayne Taylor of Nashville, Willie Wright of Zebulon, Tillie Swanson of Louisburg, Ann Daniels (Bill) of Raleigh, Jean Alexander (Michael) of Wilmington, Nell Jones of Elm City; and 19 nieces and nephews.
