LOUISBURG - Fred Carl “F.C.” Holmes, 85, died Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, at Flat Rock Baptist Church, with the Rev. Gary McNair officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born in Franklin County, son of the late Ethel Hill Holmes and Fred Holmes. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Yates Holmes and Jimmy Holmes.

He owned and operated Holmes T.V. & Repair Service in Wake Forest until his retirement.

Surviving: wife, Alwayne Holmes; son, Brooks Holmes (Wendy) of Louisburg; brother, Douglas Holmes of Youngsville; sisters, Betty Holmes Woodcock of Franklinton and Nadine Lawson of Wendell; and one granddaughter.

Friends may visit with the family immediately following the service in the church fellowship building.
