JOE PERRY DEMENT


LOUISBURG - Joe Perry Dement, 85, widower of Wilhelmina Clark Dement, died Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at his home. A member of Centerville Baptist Church, funeral services were held there Monday, Feb. 11, with the Rev.  Aaron Land officiating.  Interment followed in the church cemetery. 

He was born in Franklin County to the late Joseph J. and Spruill Edwards Dement. He   served his country in the United States Navy and was retired from Burlington Industries, where he worked for 35 years, lastly in the Weaving Department.

Surviving: daughters Laurie (Mack) Joyner and Nancy (Ernest) Dickerson, all of Louisburg; sons Milton G. (Brenda Alford) of Wake Forest and Ronald J. (Patricia) Dement of Louisburg;  sister, Ramona Marshall;  brother, Garner Dement, both of Louisburg; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
