ROCKY MOUNT - William “Bill” Haywood White Jr., 82, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, Jan. 20) at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.

He was born in Bunn to the late William Haywood White Sr. and Lillian Cone White. His family later moved to Louisburg where he attended school. He also attended NC State University.

Surviving: his wife, Jane Gay White; daughters, Gay W. Whitney (David) of New Bern, Susan W. Carroll (Allen) of Autryville; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
