HENDERSON - Harriet Miller Ayscue, 84, of Henderson (Epsom Community) died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at Franklin Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Louisburg. A memorial service was held Thursday, Feb. 14, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Franklinton, conducted by Elder Kirk Taylor III. A private graveside service was held at Sunset Gardens.

Born in Warren County, she was the daughter of the late Gideon Hunt Miller and Thurmutis Loyd Miller. She was a retired seamstress.

Surviving: husband, James Franklin Ayscue; daughters, Wanda A. Foster and Deborah A. McGhee, both of Henderson, and Dawn A. Brantley of Wake Forest; brother, Kenneth T. Miller of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, G. H. “Junior” Miller Jr.
