FUQUAY-VARINA - Margaret Cloer Burnette, 91, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 24) at Faith Baptist Church, Apex, conducted by the Rev. Lalon Barnes. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.

She was the oldest of 11 children born to John Madison Jones and Sula Eakes Jones. Mrs. Cloer was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lee Cloer.

Surviving: sons, Phillip Cloer Sr. (Rose) of Louisburg, Freddie Cloer of Fuquay-Varina, Tom Cloer (Joyce) of Apex, Hal Cloer (Anne) of Willow Spring; sisters, Ruth Dean of Angier and Elizabeth Yates of Cary; brother, Buck Jones of Raleigh; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
