WILLARD - Albert Samuel Avery, 67, formerly of Youngsville, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCare Center. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at Potts Memorial Presbyterian Church cemetery in Willard, with the Rev. Charles Mosley officiating.

He was born in Wilmington, the son of the late Ernest Martin and Irene Potter Avery. He was predeceased by a son, Glen Avery. Mr. Avery was employed with IBM for 25 years.

Surviving: his wife, Darlene Smith Avery; daughter, Joanna Britt of the home; son, David M. Avery of Barberton, Ohio; brother, James Avery of Creedmoor; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Watha P.F.W.B. Church, 18 N. Charlotte Street, Watha, NC 28478.
