YOUNGSVILLE —Jean Harris Winn, 91, died in her home on Monday, Oct. 14, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Bill Haley officiating. Burial will be in the Harris family cemetery.

She was born the daughter of James Edgar Harris and Susan Morris Harris. She graduated from East Carolina Teacher’s College in 1943 and was a career educator for Franklin County Schools.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William “Bobby” Winn; her son, Robert William “Bo” Winn, Jr.; and by one grandchild.

Surviving: daughter, Tracey Winn Hogg; son, Edgar Harris “Ned” Winn; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church, 2960 Tarboro Road, Youngsville, NC 27596.

Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall immediately following the graveside service.
