LOUISBURG - Ellen Barlogio King, 78, died  Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at the Clear Lake Hospital in Webster, Tex. Committal will be at the King family cemetery in Louisburg on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m.

She was the daughter of Florenzo James and Loucretia Angelina (Victorino) Barlogio, born in San Luis Obispo, Calif.   Ellen graduated from Santa Maria High School.  She worked as a bookkeeper at many locations in the California central coast from Arroyo Grande to Solvang. The family moved to North Carolina and she worked for many years at the Rockingham County Library in Eden and resided in Ruffin. She later lived in California, Franklinton, and League City Texas.

Surviving: daughter, Deanna Ellen (Jose Ramon) Lopez; sons, Vernon Paul Veglia and Mark Alan Irving (Leticia); stepson, Cory Ray King; sister, Elsene  Barlogio Warner;  four grandchildren; one step-grandson;  and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
