WASHINGTON, D.C. - Mr. Joseph Lee Kearney, 68, formerly of Franklin County, died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, in Washington, D.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19, in the chapel of Popes Funeral Home, 2617 Pennsylvania Avenue Southeast, Washington, D.C.

Surviving: one daughter, Michele Robinson of Washington, D.C.; sons, Joseph L. Kearney Jr. and Thomas Von Williams of Washington, D.C.; sisters, Alice Anderson of Silver Spring, Md., Kathrine Stokes of Linden, N.J., and Maxine Stokes of Durham; brothers, Robert Lee Kearney (Ann) of Columbia, S.C., Albert Kearney of Louisburg, Ervin Stokes (Joan) of Wake Forest, and Wilbert Stokes (Joane) of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and a special friend, Doris Robinson of Washington, D.C.
