FRANKLINTON—Fannie Mae Rodwell Allen, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013. Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 19, at First Baptist Church, Franklinton, with the Rev. André Johnson officiating. Interment followed at Creedmoor Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late James and Nellie Rodwell. She was a member of Christian Faith Center in Creedmoor.

She was  preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Jane Kenyon, Lucy French, Celia A. Crudup, and Annie Bell Johnson; brothers, James, John, Robert Lee, Charlie and Alec Rodwell.

Surviving: sisters, Bernice Rice and Estelle Parker, both of Franklinton, and Mattie Alston of Durham; brothers, Freddie and Joseph Rodwell, both of Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
