CASTALIA - Nevella Joyner, 67, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Saturday, Feb. 24) at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, Castalia. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Surviving: daughters, Shelby Jean Joyner of Baltimore, Md., Diane Blackmond of Louisburg and Dorraine Tucker of Castalia; son, Thomas Earl Willie Joyner of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Mattie B. Anderson of Keansburg, N.J.; brothers, Percy Joyner Jr. of Baltimore, Md., and Locket Solomon of Raleigh; and 12 grandchildren.
