WAKE FOREST - The Rev. Diane Loretta Reeder, 64, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Rex Healthcare in Raleigh. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 18, at Friendship Chapel Baptist Church in Wake Forest, with Dr. Enoch Holloway officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

The only child of the late Silas (Jimmy) Reeder and Mamie Pender Reeder, she was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. She was a 1967 graduate of Julia Richmond High School of Manhattan, N.Y., and received her B.S. in Nursing from Queen’s College. She worked in the nursing field for 47 years. She received her calling to the ministry in 1993. She relocated to North Carolina in 1994 to be with her mother.

Surviving: four uncles, two aunts, and numerous cousins, relatives and friends of New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
