Church anniversary
Union Grove Baptist will celebrate its 158th Church Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 14, during the 11 a.m. worship service. The mass choir will render the music and Pastor Samuel T. Tunstall will deliver the message.

Musical program
The Friendly Gospel Singers of Roanoke Rapids are sponsoring a fundraiser service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, for the senior citizens of the Littleton Community Center, located at 225 Oak Street, Littleton.
Featured on the program will be the Voices of Glory from Spring Hope, Earl Lane and Company of Halifax, Charles (Buck) Evans of Hollister, Steve Hyman of Henderson and others. Sis. Clementine Hux from Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, Halifax, will serve as worship leader.

Homecoming/Revival
The Rev. Faye Jones will present the fall Homecoming message on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. at Rocky Cross Holiness Church, 12524 Anderson Road, Zebulon (located at the Franklin/Nash Co. border, just minutes from Zebulon in the Rocky Cross Community).
Fall revival services at Rocky Cross will be held Oct 15, 16, and 17 at 7 p.m., with special guest Rev. Zack Sizemore.

Breast Cancer Awareness
St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 NC Hwy. 58, Warrenton (Inez Community) will observe October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Helena Williams, cancer coordinator and a member of St. Stephen, is a 17-year breast cancer survivor. Her own experience inspired her to hold a cancer awareness event at her church, usually held each October.
This year's program will be "Pink in the Pews." Members will wear pink ribbons the entire month, honoring survivors in the congregation and remembering those who have lost their battle with cancer. An information table will be set up with a variety of handouts, and a special offering will be collected to be used for mission and outreach work.

Homecoming Day
Mountain Grove Baptist Church, located in the Alert community, will observe Homecoming Day on Sunday, Oct. 14, with Kenny Davis of Kenny Davis Ministries. Singing and preaching begins at 11 a.m. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service, with more singing after lunch.

Choir anniversary
The Haywood Baptist Church Male Choir will observe its 26th Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. Appearing on the program are Creative of Henderson, the Kittrell Male Choir, the Perry's Baptist Church Male Choir, and others.

Community Day
Covenant Hope Church, 4038 Graham Sherron Road, Wake Forest, will observe Community Day on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 2-5 p.m. to celebrate the church's Relaunch.
This is a free event for all. There will be bounce houses, fun and games, as well as popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, and more.

First Baptist Church, Franklinton, will celebrate its 160th Church Anniversary and Clergy Appreciation Day on Sunday, Oct. 14, during the 11 a.m. worship service.
Pastor André L. Johnson will deliver the message and the First Baptist Church Mass Choir will render the music.

Homecoming
Bunn United Methodist Church will host a Homecoming celebration on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. The Bunkleys will be bringing a special service of song and worship. A covered dish meal will follow.

Revival/Homecoming
Fall revival services began on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Phelps Chapel Baptist Church, with Bishop Clarence McClain from Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church speaking. Services will continue on Oct. 11 and 12 at 7 p.m.
Thursday night's speaker will be Pastor Kimberly Williamson from Jones Hill Baptist Church. Friday's speaker will be Pastor Lois Davis from New Level Church.
Homecoming at Phelps Chapel will be held Sunday, Oct. 14, at 11 a.m. Pastor Thomas Richardson of St. Paul Baptist Church will be the guest speaker. Dinner will be served.

Homecoming
First Baptist Church of Spring Hope will be celebrating its 129th Homecoming on Sunday, Oct. 21, at 11 a.m. Rev. Allen will be the guest speaker. A meal will follow the service.

Church anniversary
Allen Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate its 142nd Church Anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 14, at 10:45 a.m. The speaker will be retired pastor, the Rev. Claude L. Dunston.
