CREEDMOOR - Lizzie Alston Dunston, 59, died Saturday, May 24, 2014. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, at Union AME Zion Church, Creedmoor. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

She was educated in the Vance County Public School System. She was married to Robert Dunston.

Surviving: seven children, Tracy Dunston of Charlotte, Charnetta Cooper (Arnet) of Morrisville, Jerry, Savannah, Julius, Hykeem and Jarnell Dunston, all of Durham; brothers, Ernest Rainey of Durham, William Alexander (Helena) of Henderson and Robert Alexander of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sisters, Mary F. Lewis of Durham, Maxine Miller (Cleveland) of Henderson and Virginia Knight of Paterson, N.J; brothers, Ernest Rainey of Durham, William Alexander (Helena) of Henderson and Robert Alexander of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and eight grandchildren.
