RALEIGH - Berdie Person Hunter, 93, died Monday, March 5, 2007 at Capital Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Wake County in Raleigh. Funeral services were conducted Friday, March 9, at C.A. Haywood Sr. Memorial Chapel. Burial was at Raleigh National Cemetery.

She was born in Kittrell to the late Levin and Edna Person. She was educated in the Franklin County school system.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Armenius Franklin Hunter; sisters, Josephine Powell, Della Mae Harris, Susie Person, Annie Smith; brothers, David Lee Person and William Walker Person.

Surviving: a son, Carl F. Hunter; stepdaughter, Camelia Alston; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
