LOUISBURG - Brenda Sue Joyner Smith, 67, died Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at her home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joel Story, the Rev. Dustin Mace and the Rev. Steve Burnette officiating. Interment will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was born to the late Wayne J. and Vasti Bailey Joyner. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Smith Tharrington, and her siblings, Shirley Stevenson, Janice Wallace and Doug Joyner.

Surviving: husband, Kenneth Smith; her daughter, Angie Bumgarner; brother, Gary Joyner (Judy); three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
