YOUNGSVILLE-Danny Johnson, 80, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014 at Rex Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Harris Chapel Baptist Church cemetery with the Rev. Dr. William H. Haley officiating. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall and all other times at the home.

He was born in Franklin County to the late Daniel Atlas Johnson and Madge Yarborough Johnson.

He was a life-long member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, where he served in many different capacities. He was a retired NC State Department of Transportation employee with 40 years of service.

Surviving: wife, Carolyn Frazier Johnson; son, Rodney R. White (Julie) of Youngsville; two grandsons and one granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren; brother, Brooks W. Johnson (Alice) of Youngsville; sisters, Sue J. Floyd (Charles) of Louisburg and Myrna J. Raybon of Knightdale; five nieces and four nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Harris Chapel Baptist Church, 2960 Tarboro Road, Youngsville, NC 27596.
