BUNN - Joseph M. Edwards, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Bunn Baptist Church.

He was a store owner, farmer and served in the US Army during World War II, receiving a Bronze Star.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Armstrong Edwards.

Surviving: children, Carol Clark of Wilson and Marshall Edwards of Carolina Beach; sister, Jean Pulley (Bill); two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bunn Baptist Church.
