APEX - Thomas Hamilton, 74, died Thursday, March 8, 2007 at Rex Hospital. Funeral services were conducted Monday, March 12, at Hope Community Church, Raleigh, with the Rev. Steve Ellis and the Rev. Darrell Sauls officiating. Entombment followed in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Wake County, son of the late Lillie Mae and Henry Hamilton. Mr. Hamilton was a retired automobile mechanic.

Surviving: his wife, Shirley Jones Hamilton; daughters, JoAnn Sauls (Dale) of Raleigh, Peggy Parker (Ronnie) of Apex; sister, Altene Loyd of Franklinton; brothers, David Hamilton of Wake Forest and Alexander Hamilton of Garner; and three grandchildren.

Flowers welcome or memorial contributions may be made to Hope Community Church Building Fund, 821 Buck Jones Road, Raleigh, NC 27606, in memory of Thomas Hamilton.
