FRANKLINTON - Emily Woodlief Day, 95, of Franklinton, died Wednesday night.

Emily was a daughter of the late Merrimon and Zelma Perry Woodlief. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl W. Day; sisters, Lois W. Neal, Macy W. Mitchell, and Grace W. Tant; and brother, James Woodlief.

A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Friday in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Emily is survived by her longtime friend, Ann House; special caregiver, Lynell Leonard; numerous nieces and nephews.
