LOUISBURG - Pearl Blackwell Tharrington, 74, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 11, 2014, at her home. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Mountain Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Daren Smart officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She was a daughter of the late William Fletcher and Dolia Ida Bowen Blackwell. She was preceded in death by 11 sisters and brothers.

Surviving: husband, Daryl Tharrington; daughter, Patricia (Jimmy) Arnold; stepson, Steve (Kathy) Tharrington; sisters, Alice Hendrix, Margaret Jones, and Evelyn Sico; brother, Dewight Blackwell; and six grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 834 Alert Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
