FRANKLINTON - Lena Mae Dickerson Leonard, 79, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at Franklin Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today (Saturday, March 17) in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Entombment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Leonard was born in Vance County, daughter of the late Ester Ayscue Dickerson and Oscar Dickerson, and later married Douglas Nelson Leonard, who preceded her in death. She was retired from Corning Glass where she was an inspector.

Surviving: her sons, Steve C. (Mary) of Raleigh and Tim (Vicki) Leonard of Winston-Salem; brother, Thomas (Phyllis) Dickerson of Franklinton; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
