LOUISBURG - Lizzie Andrews Capell, 98, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014. A funeral service was held Saturday, Dec. 27, at Maple Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jason Havens officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

She was a daughter of the late Willie and Fannie Crowder Andrews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Capell, Sr.; daughter, Judy C. Dixon; brothers, Van Andrews, Clarence Andrews, and Mac Andrews. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church.

Surviving: daughter, Joann (John) Fletcher of Locust Grove, Va.; son, Richard (Barbara) Capell of Louisburg; sister, Dorothy A. (Marion) Petty of Raleigh; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Springs Baptist Church, Missions Fund, 1938 NC 56 Hwy E, Louisburg, NC 27549.
