LOUISBURG - Ann Deans Draughn, 85, died Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Louisburg Nursing Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 7 to 8:30 at Lancaster's Franklinton Chapel, 504 E. Mason Street, Franklinton. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Raleigh Memorial Park with the Rev. Anita James-Carnes officiating.

She was born in Wilson to the late Robert Edgar and Leyta Perry Deans. She graduated from Charles L. Coon High School in Wilson and Women's College University of NC, and was a former member of Forest Hills Baptist Church of Raleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moore Draughn Jr.

Surviving: daughters, Willie Ann D. Hyland (Jim) of Concord, Clara Lee Lee of Apex, Lucy Girault (Jacques) of Monroe, and Martha Terrell Draughn (Amanda) of Boone; sons, Charles Moore Draughn III (Elyse) of Franklinton, John M. Draughn (Trena) of Myrtle Beach, SC, and James W. Draughn (Sherry) of Franklinton; sisters, Jane Ferguson of Charlotte and Mary D. Jones of Raleigh; brothers, Bob Deans of Morehead City and Bill Deans of Raleigh; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
