YOUNGSVILLE - Betty Murphy Rogers, 82, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Wake Medical Center. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon May 1, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with the Rev. Steve Davis and the Rev. Bill Wallace officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, the daughter of the late James C. Murphy and Betty Grace Arnold Murphy.

Surviving: sons, Mark Rogers (Tammy) of Youngsville, Jackie Rogers (Debbie) of Youngsville, and Bill Rogers (Carla) of Spring Hope; sister, Alice Johnson of Youngsville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Lawrence Rogers.
