STOVALL - Aldmer Dewey Whitaker, 88, of Stovall died Monday, May 18, 2015 at VA Hospital in Durham. Services will be private.

He was born to the late Michael and Fannie Dillion Whitaker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Boyd Whitaker, and his son, Ernest Odell Whitaker.

Surviving: daughter, Sharon Kay Carr of Richmond, VA; son, Al Whitaker of Stovall; brother, Herbert Whitaker of Georgia; and his sister, Teresa Bush of Illinois; three grandchildren and two great- grandchildren.

Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Boulevard, Louisburg.
