FRANKLINTON --Sarah Jackson Vaughan, 90, died Monday evening July 6, 2015 at Franklin Oaks Nursing Center. She was born in Franklin County to the late Charlie Jackson and Mabel Wood Jackson and was retired from Burlington Industries with 40 years of service.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton, with the Rev. Harold Woodlief officiating.

Surviving: daughter, Deydra Bragg of Franklinton; son, Jimmy Vaughan of Franklinton; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Vaughan; son, Johnny Vaughan; one grandson and one granddaughter.
