RALEIGH - Douglas Wayne Bragg, 63, died Friday July 31, 2015 at WakeMed. Funeral services were held Monday evening, Aug. 3, in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Averette officiating.

He was born in Granville County, the son of the late Frances Newton Bragg and Willie Henry Bragg, Jr., and was a retired engineer with CSX Railroad.

Surviving: his wife, Lauren Caldwell Bragg; son, Jon Bragg; sister, Debbie Dorsey of Franklinton; brothers, Tommy Bragg of Franklinton and Dennis Bragg of Wake Forest; three nieces; one nephew; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Franklinton Baptist Church Youth Group.
