LOUISBURG - Doris Wade Broughton, 80, passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015. She was born January 27, 1935 in Wake County to the late Bill Wade and Ruth Summerlin Wade.

A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 5, 2015 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service and Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale, NC 27545.

Surviving: husband of 50 years, Charlie Broughton; daughter, Donna Flynn and husband James of Charlotte; son, Chip Broughton and wife Holly of Louisburg; grandchildren: Ian Flynn and wife Aleah, Seth Flynn and wife Patrice, Ross Flynn; sister, Edith Fuller of Zebulon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Edna Ellington and Joyce Adams.
