LOUISBURG - Carolyn Pearce Tharrington, 75, of Louisburg, died Sunday night at her home.

Carolyn was a daughter of the late Willie and Lettie Belle Pearce. She was preceded in death by her sister, Willie Grey Boone, and her brother, Braxton Pearce.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Billy Tharrington; sisters, Lettie Lyles and Shirley Hodge, both of Knightdale; special nieces and nephew; and her caregivers, Judy Young, Brenda Robbins and Wayne Tharrington; many other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Gilead Independent Baptist Church, P.O. Box 564, Louisburg, NC 27549.
