Nell Perry Beasley, 88, of Louisburg, went to join her Lord Thursday, February 18, 2016. She was a daughter of the late O. W. and Nellie W. Perry. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Beasley; sisters, Virginia Mitchiner, Linda Jones, Rebecca Elmore and Billie Ethridge.

Nell was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years serving as a Sunday School teacher, Methodist Youth Fellowship leader, church treasurer, historian, and held various leadership roles in the United Methodist Women.

She served her community throughout her adult life participating as a 4-H leader and a Cooperative Extension Service craft leader. She was active in the Home Demonstration Club and a member of United Daughters of the Confederacy Joseph J. Chapter 537 of Louisburg, NC for 35 years and served as chaplain.

As an Ingleside Lioness, she helped prepare meals for the Lion's Club monthly meetings. She drove for Meals on Wheels, visited nursing homes and served as a member of the Franklin County Domiciliary Committee.

Genealogy, tatting, quilting, crocheting, and card playing were some of her favorite hobbies.

A funeral service was held 2 PM Saturday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Beasley is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cade and Mike Carter; Rose and Jerry Holmes; Jo Dee and Matt Jolliff; grandchildren, Cathryn C. Hecox, Jonathan Holmes, Chad Carter, Bryan Jolliff, Leslie Cordero, Chris Carter, Jackie J. Smith; great-grandchildren, Carter Hecox, Caden Hecox, Cort Hecox, Charlie Carter, Sam Carter, Cameron Carter, Andrew Carter, Elijah Holmes, Cooper Cordero, William Jolliff and Taylor Smith.
