FRANKLINTON - Inell Joyner Monroe, 81, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at WakeMed in Raleigh. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 20, at First Baptist Church in Franklinton, with the Rev. André Johnson officiating. Interment followed in Evergreen Cemetery.

She was born in Franklin County, daughter of the late Leroy Joyner and Rosie Bell Wilson Joyner. She was a member of the Senior Missionary Department at First Baptist Church, Franklinton.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Hubert Monroe; brothers, Leroy, William, Calvin and Alexander Joyner; sisters, Carolyn Joyner and Dorothy Solomon.

Surviving: sister, Jean Joyner of Franklinton; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
