LOUISBURG - Shirley Ann Williams, 78, of Louisburg died Monday, July 18, 2016, at her home. Born on May 29, 1938 to the late Royal and Wilma Heading Williams. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Boyd Ray Williams. Shirley was a wonderful mother, sister, friend and caregiver to those in need. She loved her yard, gardening and her flowers. She had never met a stranger and had a hello for every person she met. She was a lifelong member of Corinth Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 6:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel, with the Rev. Matthew Bowden officiating.

She is survived by her son, Randy Godfrey of Louisburg; her daughter, Michelle Godfrey Brack (Geno) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Addison Godfrey (Laura) of Youngsville and Chelsea Godfrey of Clayton; her brother, James Williams (Shirley) of Raleigh; and her sister, Carolyn Dearing (Joseph) of Virginia Beach, VA.
