LOUISBURG - Robert June Smith Jr., 78, died Thursday morning, April 26, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, April 28) at Red Bud Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leo Lowery officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Baptist Church cemetery.

He was a son of the late Robert June and Sara Faulkner Smith Sr. and was preceded in death by his sister, Sallie Bet Carroll; brothers, William “Boy Man” Smith, Herman Smith and Charles “Simon” Smith.

Surviving: his wife, Barbara Smith; son, Larry W. Ayscue of Castalia; sisters, Pearl Ayscue of Warrenton, Irene Ayscue and Nannie Ayscue, both of Louisburg, and Pattie Mae Hill of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1284 N.C. 58 Hwy., Castalia, NC 27816.
